Most people who cut a tree leave the stump just the way it is and does not give any attention to them. A few months ago my family and I had two of the trees in front of our home cut down. It was decision that needed to be made as much as we loved having these trees on our property. As an artist you always want to do something creative, special and unique. I figured why not turn these tree stumps into something beautiful for people to see and enjoy. As an American and living in Long Island what better way to show case these two great subjects into a beautiful art piece by creating a lighthouse floating on water and an Amercian Flag which represents the greatest country in the world.
